Ok, I get a lot of squeeking with the performance friction carbon metallic pads. Can't really hear it in the car with the windows rolled up, but with the windows rolled down you can. I've also heard that that's just what they do. We didn't use disk brake quiet on it because my friend told me it isn't needed but he said that he's heard that no amount of disk quiet stuff will help the carbon metallics. Anyone else have this issue?

I suspect it is a function of the rotor composition. My PF C-M pads never squeak in combination with my $18 cheapo AutoZone rotors. However, they work very well together when it comes to stopping my car without fade, warpage or heat stress cracks.
