--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Was told the CPS is the problem. But I am not sure on that.----

I suspect another problem other than a cps. i have not tore into anything. had to replace the starter from overuse. took a while to start it up. started and ran fine for about 20min. hit the gas a little and it died. wont start anymore nothing. while it was running i heard a loud buzzing noise coming from the fuel tank. sounded like a small bee buzzing loudly. i am suspecting the fuel pump is the culpret to my post. weak and prob overheating. what do you guys think? like i said a few posts ago it seems fuel related. if the cps was faulty would it not just go out, instead of being able to start the car mutiple times for months and then it gets :woo-hoo:worse and worse?

If you're sure you have no KOEO or memory codes, then the fuel pump could be the problem. Have you measured the pressure at the rail? Or, have you ever changed a fuel filter on this car? That's a simple repair that many people overlook, but when it's clogged it can cause all kinds of problems. It's probably not the complete problem, but it could be a contributing factor.

And please STOP making new posts all the time for this same problem. Honestly, we can read all about it in the same thread. Constantly posting new threads on the same problem just spams up the maintenance section.

no problem, thanks for the insight and the forum rules. i think i am going toswap my fiter and pump from my other sho tomorrow. its a **** of a lot easier than changing the cps. esp. if it may not be the problem. i dont think the water pump is leaking also. found my radiator leaking though. that could explain the water pump having brown all over the out side of it. thanks much!

Biker889. Did your pump buzz loudly like a bee outside near the tank when it was running?

Yes mine buzzed like crazy. Idle quality was so so, and it almost sounded like it had a miss. It runs sooo much smoother now.

..brown all over the outside of it? As in like a rust-colored dust? That may be the tell-tale sign of crank cancer. I'd tear that down.

fyi...the condition of the radiator would have no bearing on the external color of the water pump.

the water pump is fine. i changed the fuel filter, fuel pump and cps, checked and cleaned all the main sensor connectors and even the maf sensor. still will not start. whats left? crank sensor? it wont sputter or pop if that isnt working right? thanks for most of the feed back.

cps = crank sensor. Or did you mean you changed the cam sensor?

Have you checked for spark? Pull a plug & wire, have someone crank the car and see if you're getting spark. And this is a shot in the dark, but your fuel pump shutoff switch isn't tripped, is it?

the fuelpump is audiable too. had spark it was running. it just got worse. would a coil pack make all these symptoms as well?
