Part # E9DZ6626A, oil pump pickup tube gasket. Doing rod bearings this Saturday, ordered this gasket today from Ford who said they'd have it Friday, only to get a call back saying the part was obselete (sp)

Anyone know where I can find this gasket? I'm led to believe it's a dealer only part  and Saturday is getting very very close :headbang:

I cut my own gasket when I did the rod bearings. I ordered one and it was the wrong part.

It is included in the FelPro TCS45871 Timing Cover Gasket Set as well, which is around $15 from your local parts store of choice.

If you get stuck Chris, I bought up a bunch of them off the locator service when they were discontinued, and I still have a couple individual ones kicking around outside of the Fel-Pro gasket sets. However, (the other) Chris is right - Felpro's "Timing Cover Set" (yes, misnamed) has the front oil pan rubber seal, the oil pump to block gasket, the front crank seal (don't bother trying to use it, it's oversized), and the infamous oil pump pickup tube gasket. Get that & the rear oil pump seal from Ford for the cheap route out, otherwise you duplicate buying the front oil pan seal twice getting the 2 Fel-Pro kits.

I managed to get the Fel-pro crank seal in, you just gotta be really patient with it. it is a PITA. A little vaseline around the edges and on the crank seal surface really helped. I have about 5k miles on it since doing it, no leaks yet.

Ordered the fel-pro kit from Autozone this evening, $16.99. Should be in Friday. If not then you can all look forward to reading about me in the newspapers on Saturday :D

Thanks much for the help folks :thumb:
