Ok... I am ready to shoot the car. I just want make sure I have all my ducks in a row this weekend when I put my heads and intake back together.

I couldnt get compression out of the engine originally after the rebuild. BUT... I didnt do the shim job until after the new cams got in last week. I didnt have the right size shims so I took them to the machine shop and am having them "thinned" down on the bottom side.

Thats all I should have to do to get the engine to turn over. I hit the fuel pump switch in the trunk, took off the timing belt, cams were off and cranked the engine. I finally got compression at around 150-160 in each of the plug wells. I am gonna put it all back together this weekend and hopefully it will start.

Is there ANY other reason why the engine would not start? I have fuel, I am getting sparks, and the starter is working fine. Is there anything small I should check that might screw it up?
