Car #177 B.C. 2007 Shelby GT500...

The Shelby may be quicker/faster, but the 00 Cobra R can turn

I know I'm a tad out of place, and I'm a wee bit late....but IIRC, the 00 Cobra R topped out at around 180ish, whereas the GT500's speed limited to 155ishmph.....which would mean the 00 Cobra R is STILL the fastest production Mustang available from the factory. True, remove the limiter, and I'm sure the GT500 would trounce the Cobra like a boa on a small white mousie....but the fact remains the same....2000 Cobra R still the fastest production Mustang ever released from the factory.....

Not out of line at all. I should have left off the "Faster" part of that statement as you are correct.

I think the only solution to the Shelby vs Cobra R problem is to be like black92's neighbor and have both. Cobra R for the road course and the shelby for the street and drag strip. (If we could only afford that right!)

By the way my 2 cents. Cobra R is faster stock but the shelby is definately quicker although having one of the only 300 cobra R's must count for something too
