Can speedo not worling affect ATX upshift/downshift/passing gear??????

It shouldn't, but sounds like the Vehicle Speed Sensor is shot. So shot that it's not even turning the speedo cable. This sensor is responsible for erratic shifts and poor Variable Power Steering and overall engine performance. One $20 part that solves big problems. I posted somewhere exactly what this sensor does (someone asked about a few weeks ago), so if yo0u're interested in knowing more about the VSS search for it. It wasn't too long ago and probably in this section of the forum.

I reck'n the Vss is shot! get the codes pulled before u jump on any thing!! the vss usually throws a code if it is bad!! Trust me i know.... thumbs_u
