I have an LMS tuner that I bought in August for my 2011 SHO. I sold the SHO a couple days ago, and before selling it, I returned it to stock. I have the tuner, the paperwork, original box, OBDII cable, and the USB cable. Can I sell this tuner to another user? How much would LMS chanrge the other person to create tunes for that person based on their strategy codes? Do I need to contact LMS? Is there any interest on the forums for a used LMS tuner? Just checking the waters. If I can't sell it, then I have a $600 paper weight. The tuner was used exactly twice...once to flash the car to Stage 4, and once to flash it back to stock.

Thanks for any info!

I emailed LMS. We'll see what they say. I will post their response here when I get it. I just want to see how much they will charge for new tunes on an existing tuner. I will subtract their cost plus an extra $50.

It CAN be sold & used on another car.

But..... IIRC, LMS charges like $250 to the next person to re-program.
Thanks bpd1151. If I could get $300 out of it, then I would be pleased. One of my paddle shifters on the M5 is broken, and they are $300 each. What did I get myself into?

A BMW, for sure! J/K! Will you have to have a shop replace it, or is it something you can DIY?

It's an easy fix. Pull the front off the steering wheel, pullnthe airbag, take out two screws, and disconnect the plug. Install new smg paddle.

Well, if that doesn't get you, the $600 oil changes might be to your liking! 10 quarts (9 liters) of 10w60.
