Can a non-sunroof headliner be converted into sunroof style (Gen2)?

I have a 1995 MTX I bought late last year with a sunroof, the headliner is unfortunately in need of replacement, not just recovering.

Per my (paid) thread in the Classifieds, I am slowly parting out my green original owner non-sunroof 1995.

Would it be possible to line the headliners up, scribe the sunroof hole, and cut the hole? Or is the shape - roof contouring different?

I remember this topic from long ago, and my best memory is that it is not that easy, maybe because of the depth of the sunroof apparatus; and possibly the interior dome light is too far back in the non sunroof model.

The non sunroof car headliner hugs the roof pretty tightly, while the sunroof car headliner is quite a ways down from the roof.

No.
The moon roof head liners are more flat and shallow.
The no moon roof head liners are arced and have more depth (height).
