The other side of the sprocket? You need to turn over the motor to get to the other side. The rear cams are the same as the front if that's what you're asking.

You rode in my car when it was stock Chris. You ready for that kind of slow?

As a newbe to this 4m I need to know about the cams... My car has 246k miles on it & I don't think the cams have been welded. I bought it from the original owner & he has no recollection of having that done. After 246k mile what are the odds that the cams are going to fail? All of this cam talk is for the 3.4L V8, correct?

The odds are good enough that most of us have done it. You could get lucky and not have them fail, but it's not worth it to have a boat anchor under the hood if they do fail. There's been enough failures to be concerned. With that many miles the cam weld might cost as much as the value of the car though.

Cams

I live in the Bay Area and am concerned with the cams. Does anyone know where I could get these cams welded locally?:help:
