Hello everybody,
I'm still trying to track down my low oil pressure issue and am looking for other possible causes. The rod and main bearings are new, as well as the oil pump. So I have moved on to the heads.
There are a few possibilities(please, correct me if I'm wrong), bad cam bearings, and bad cam chain tensioners. The reason I'm looking at the cam chain tensioners is because one of the cam chains broke (prior owner) and I don't know if the tensioner was replaced. I also heard somewhere that bad cam chain tensioners could cause low oil pressure.
How can you tell if the cam chain tensioners are on there way out?
Does any one have any ideas as to what else could be causing this? I have a digital oil press. gauge hooked up, and a stock oil press. light hooked up. The press. is reading 6 psi at idle(warmed up).
Thanks,
Efren
