cam chain and tensioner rattle,CANT GET PARTS!

Friend of mine with 94 3.2 auto is having problems with the small chain and tensioner that connects the intake and exhaust cams together.Makes ratteling noise when engine is warmed up.Has anybody heard of this?The chain,tensioner and gears are all no longer available from ford.Does anybody know where to get some.Any help would be appreciated!

While not common, it is not unheard of. Several members have had this issue this year. The parts are discontinued, so you'll have to post a wanted to buy on the forum, or search local junkyards. If you do a search, a few members have had luck removing and cleaning the tensioner. Good luck.

yeah, i have the same EXACT problem w/my car. i know for a fact that Doug Lewis at ford performance specialists down here west of atlanta have em in stock. check out their website www.fordspecialists.com and call em up. good luck
