Hey guys

I'm pretty sure my front jbl premiums in my 95 are shot. I'm thinking about getting new JBLs.

JBL 6 1/2s for the front

and 5/7s for the back

Now these are two way speakers. i was wondering if they are better than 3 way speakers at all. It would help also if i knew if the jbl premiums were 2 or 3 way.

Also, they have a really weird screw position pattern that i'm not sure would fit in the harness. If you guys could check that'd be great.

bottom line: Would these speakers be a good choice?

Thank you.

Stock ones are 2 way.

Any speakers are better than blown ones. I got a set of verge 6x8's for the rear, they sound fine, nothing special, but great for the price I paid for them. The jbl's should do great.

i would get the jbl, but not those expensive of ones(and plus theyre from crutchfield, so thyre REALLY expensive), u dont need that much power handling for the stock amps, or even a replacement head unit (and most of the time a 4 channel amp for all the speakers.)
u can get a good set of jbl gto speakers for about 1/3 the price of the power series. heres some sites for 6 1/2's and 6x8's.

jbl 6 1/2's
jbl 6x8's

u should be really happy with them, and if u wanna take ur old sub outta ur jbl box (or if u think thats blown too), u can get an 8" sub and bore tha box a bit (or if u can find a 6.5" subwoofer u wont have to bore the box out, u may just have to cut off the supports on the bottom of the stock box.) and come out with awesome sound.

the thing about the wiring harnesses is, u can easily make some with about 4-6 inches of speaker wire(should come with the speakers) and all ud have to do is go get some 1/8" or 3/16"(i think) male disconnects and put those in the stock harnesses.

there thats my $.02

Don't buy from Crutchfield... You'll pay WAY more for the same product that can be bought elsewhere.

Listen to yamahasho, I bought Infinity Kappa's off of ebay from a seller who sells a boatload of speakers out of Florida and paid $100 less shipped than from Crookfield for the same exact speakers. Pick from a good seller and they will offer a return if you have a problem with them.
