Nice fire.....Kind of looks like there are about a dozen people that are going to be getting new cars. How much damage is there to your SHO? Is it just smoke or is that part of the roof lying on your car?

Wonder if Ford is going to build that guy a nice new shop?

There is a HUGE Recall on F 150's, Has been for a While. There is a Brake switch on the Master Cylinder That is for the Cruise Control, IIRC.

Anyhow, Switch Leaks, Contacts IN Switch Boil at 12v all night long and ignite. MANY Trucks have burnt up because of this. The Recall is to ad a Fused Jumper cable inline with the offending switch. If the Fuse Pops, You have to take it Back to Ford to get a new switch too.

I've had the recall done on My Lightning. I think it covers about 10 years of F 150's starting around 1993-ish.

Sorry About Your car - You can Probably get even MORE SHO for the check You'll get.

im not sure what to get, living in new england, i got the sho because it was decent in the snow and i could drive up to vermont with 3 snowboards and 3 people. the SHO was a perfect car for me, i dont know what could replace it, or what im even gonna start looking for!

i hate insurance btw, people pay a rediculas premiem so they can tell you on the phone that they are all on vacation and will handle your claim next week. how bout i char your mercedes and we'll see how fast you can move. ass bags. (sry bout the venting)

Many Expeditions are involved in that Cruise Control switch recall, in fact mine is due for the retrofit. I think it will be parked outside from now on because if it went up in flames it would most definitely destroy my house and my SHO.

Vent all you want about insruance but I can assure you that after a week or two in the business you might find a different target for your ventilation... Such as people slagging insurance in forums... :p

i work for a financial industry that also sells insurance, its not that bad, however auto insurance seems like a bunch of crooks that charge you a crazy amount of money every 6 months and work as slow as molasses on a winter day when it comes time to filing a quote for reimbursment. MY insurance agent is awesome, he takes care of whatever needs to be done, but i dont understand why Traveler's has to assign me a person on "vacation" to look at my car "maybe next week" F#CK INSURANCE! GIMME MY SHO BACK!
