Can anyone school me on the crankshaft? There is probably a better one than stock, right? I don't quite know the attributes of "forged" or any other type of crankshaft. I destroyed my last one, and I don't plan on changing my driving style.

Hah, there is virtually no aftermarket for these cars. I'm not aware of any other cranks for these cars except maybe in a sho shop bored and stroked 3.6. Try calling Tom at sho shop for details.

I forget, but doesn't it damage the crank if you put too much oil in the motor? Maybe this is what happened.

On a stock motor, the only way you will ruin the crank is bad rod bearings.New ones are no longer available, and there are NO aftermarket ones.

New ones are availiable. I just bought some from Ford Parts Network. Torrie said that Ford had discontinued them then changed their mind. You can also get aftermarket bearings at NAPA.
