ZF trany is a transaxle that is for race cars it was in the pantera also, it comes in 4,5,6 speeds they are hella expensive 4,000 plus usually, where to get kit cars of gt-40s you can get them on the internet most come from the uk but there are a couple companys in us and canada look on the net and you will find lots easily

I know of the GT-40 kits like this (I want one really bad) they use a Renault transmission like in the Dodge Intrepids and Chrysler LHS. they make adapters to match any engine you want, they are mostly 5-speeds but I have also seen 6 and 7-speeds when I was researching to buy one of these kit cars. IIRC a used tranny was from about $3-4000, 6-speeds were $10,000 new, and 7-speed were 30,000-40,000 new.
I'll bet he has a 5-speed ;)

ZF is a 6-speed found in RWD not mid-engine, it might have ZF internals though.

ZF has also made trannies for Porsche, BMW, and in some Corvettes. Great box, high priced. If you already have one, awesome, but I just shudder at the cost of a rebuild kit for one. Although, I know, they can take a lot of power.

AutoSHO..is that YOUR ride???

Wow. The intake looks even cooler in a mid-engined car! The way it was supposed to be before someone had the idea to dump it into a Taurus!!! :D

Oh...and bore does not affect the rev limit. Stroke does. Bore it all you want, but you'll have more reliable power with a 3.2L block with the stock bore than an overbored block. For maximum displacement, you can bore and stroke the block to about 3.4L.

I would slap on the turbos to the stock 3.2L block. PP. EH. BBB. Crank up the boost. Make it rev to 7400RPM. Good, fun, reliable power. 500 HP is a cool figure, but is extremely impractical on a 1500 LBS. car. Think about it. Formula Dodge cars (about 1400 LBS if I remeber correctly) have about 140HP and are absolute rocketships. Sub 4 second 0-60 and 140MPH top ends!
