Well I chewed up my transaxle on the buggy this last weekend. I knew it was the weak link but I didn't think it would be that weak. The buggy handled a pretty mean cross grain wash very well, except for the transaxle. Fortunately I wasn't too far from home when it blew-up. I'd like to go with a Mendeola transaxle. I had thought they were about $4000 but list price on their website says $5700. If they are that much, I may have to go with a "built" 091 VW transaxle. If anybody has a suggestion where to look, knows somebody or hears about one, let me know.

Also, a month or so ago, I paid for an ad in the SHOparts section for a green Gen1 SHO that I picked up for the engine, harness and ECU (was missing ECU). I would like to get rid of everything else but don't really have time to sell it online and bother with shipping etc. I don't have any idea what parts are worth either So if any of the local group wants any parts, call me or PM me. I will sell easy to remove items or if you want to take it off yourself, for a donation only. If I have to pull it for you, I will charge a nominal fee to do so based on time necessary, with one-half going to SHOforum. I can bring the parts up to the Phoenix area

Do the Mendeola and do it one time. If you add more power you'll still be ok.

I have already decided the Mendeola 2D is the only way to go. It's just going to take a little longer to save up. I have talked to the guys at AZ Transaxles a few times and all I need now is the $$
