first off, my car is a 91 mtx. ok so I walk out start my car and the tach isnt working, just like if the car was off. i start driving and get to a red light. just idling, the idle starts to flutter up and down so i rev to about 1500- 2000 just so it wouldnt die. start taking of and its bucking. i drop down a gear to keep revs up. when i hit the 4000 mark for the secondaries, major bucking. i shift back up. at this point im ******, so i push in the clutch and rev to about 6500- 7000 trying "clear" anything out. funny thing, it stopped bucking. i could drive at about 2500 for another mile with no problems. i pulled my codes right then and i got a KOEO:15 and a KOER: 77.

whats weird is that i think i did perform the "goose" test. and i dont know what the 15 is. any sho gods want to help me. i need this thing to go to work and school. thanks in advance.

someone suggested that this could be oil in the plug wells. what gasket causes this to happen, those 3 circular gaskets in each valve cover? also, how can i check if this is the problem? does this foul the plug or the wires at all? this would be a good time to check my valve clearances also right? thanks.

EXACT thing happened to me. I just finished the upper 60K last night and drove it 200 miles with NO problems. Your codes aren't telling you much which points to an ignition problem. Pull some plugs wire boots out and see if you have oil in there. If so, you're due. You may be able to suck the oil out for now and clean things up in there to keep driving it until your ready. But you would need to replace your plug well seals which means the valve covers have to come off. Since the valve covers have to come off, its a good idea to do the complete upper 60K. Check out this site for info on doing the upper 60K.
