Yep. Car was making some noise from that side, so I figured I'd re-torque the subframe bushings since the engine had been out recently. Upon putting some pressure on that bolt, the head sheared right of. So now it would seem I'm up shit creek until I can afford a suitable replacement. Any ideas?

Would it be possible to just slap a big ass washer on a normal bolt and run it up through there? What size and pitch is that bolt, anyway? This is my daily driver, so I gotta figure something out pretty damn quick here....

M12x1.5 but don't quote me on that.

It'll need to be a grade 10.9 bolt, about 100mm or 125mm long or so.

Cosigned.

Same as a trans to engine bolt...but longer.
Take an 18mm and a breaker bar to the JY tomorrow and get one for $1

...and don't break that one.

The fun part will be getting the rest of the old one out. I broke one on the '93 while putting the Gen 3's on. I used a die grinder/cut off wheel to take as much off as possible. Then I fished it and the plate nut out of the way.

Not neccessary....mosey'd my fat ass down to Ace Hardware and picked up a bolt and washer. The remainder of the broke bolt came right out through the recall hole, along with the plate......

Anyway, put the new bolt through, slapped a nut on there with, of all things, a washer from a valve cover bolt, and torqued her down. Good as new, $2.15 later.
