I'm gonna takle a 4 wheel brake job including new rotors and pads.

I want to get the PFCM pads, but confused on part numbers based on some retail searching. According to my production 6/92 does this change the pad selection for front or rear pads?

I've tried to search for part numbers and so far SDPATT has listed a number but I think this is for the front only and for a Gen I?

Any referrals for obtaining the Performance Friction Carbon Metalic pads with part numbers or at least a good reference? Thanks in advance.

BTW, the fronts should be the same as the Gen 1 as my 93 fronts were the same.

Fronts #4214S

My 93 rears where #6104! Not sure if 92 had the same solid rear rotors as the 93. PFC doesn't make rears for the Gen 1 and if the 92 is the same, then the same for them as well. You have to use Ray Bestos from O'Reilly's or who ever else sells them. Well it might of been Wagner, not sure but O'Reilly's had some Carbon Metallic for the rears on Gen 1's.

When I search on Autozone.com, or even I called their store, they told me except PFC-Z-RATED 421SZ $131.99 for the front, there is not PFCM for my 93 3.2L. Then I used TYSHO's part#s above and searched their web by part# and I got them there. I went to the store tonight and gave them both #s for front and rear, they have it! But no connection in their system showing Fronts #4214S
rears #6104 are for 93 ATX. Hope this help, if some one has the same problem I had with their system.

Those 'Z-Rated' pads cost a good $100 more. When I get some extra money, well for that crap, I might buy a set and see how much better they are. I never heard of anyone mentioning that they've used them before. Must be some good sh*t if they want that much more! :)

Edit: BTW, Lance or anyone else, you can always go to the PFC website: www.performancefriction.com

IIRC, you can find out who sells the products in your area. They seem to make damn good brake products, just look around on their website. I also believe that they'll make all the brake component parts for your brake system, even if they don't stock them or haven't made them before. If I were to go all out on my SHO, I'd have a PFC brake system installed, all around! :)
