Hi,for some reason my brake light on/off switch interferes with my overdrive cancel switch.Everytime i press the brake pedal it turns my o/d on and off.The light for o/d go's on or off everytime i brake.I checked the center console and ruled that out,cut the wire for the o/d switch that runs to the pcm which is in a connector under the cruise control module and it still happens.I also tried to see if theres any voltage in the o/d switch wire when i press the brake pedal and theres none.My next try will be to find the o/d switch terminal at the pcm connection and cut it to see if it still happens. Could there be a short in the harness or do you think the pcm is shorting out?Any thoughts would be very helpfull.Thank you

2 wires are touching that shouldnt be. Is the o/d going on or off or is it just the light? I dont think the bake switch has anything to do with the overdrive. Have you ever had anyone under the dash for anything?...alarm/remote-start/stereo

Cool thanks man,i disconnected my alarm module cause i had no remote and was planning on getting a new one soon. The car was fine for about a month and a half after i did that,i have no idea why it affected it now.I reconnected my alarm module and everything with the overdrive is fine.Go figure,i still have no idea what is linked between the two, maybe the auto doorlock feature when the car is shifted into gear or something.

I actually found my problem. It was the wire for the brake switch and the one for the o/d cancel switch shorting out inside a connector.I rerouted the o/d switch wire,i ran it straight into the computer.
