Brake light issues

The brake light doesn't come on with all the others in "bulb test" mode and it doesn't come on when the e-brake is depressed. It will come on if the fluid is low now, the plunger wasn't dropping to activate the brake light.

What and which wire tells the bulb to come on in bulb test mode? I do not have continuity from the LB/BK wire at the DRL jumper and the parking brake switch. From the DRL jumper to the brake fluid level switch I have continuity through the P/W wire.

There are apparently three more connectors for the LB/BK wire between the DRL jumper and the brake switch. c100, c230 and c2010 at the switch.

The auto headlamps don't work also and it appears the wires run in the same harness to that DRL jumper. I'll post what I find at the end of the day.

The master cylinder switch has a terminal that was corroded, it supplies power to the DRL jumper, then to the e-brake sensor. The e-brake switch plunger and terminal was corroded also.

I didn't know the abs light can come on if the fluid is low in the system. I went crazy trying to figure out what was wrong with the abs and it was low fluid caused by a fairly new caliper.


The master cylinder switch plunger was stuck, but I should've paid closer attention. I'm normally more careful and safe than I should be when it comes to cars. I blame this solely on long hours plus having to learn to maintain the machine I run.

Can someone confirm that the brake light doesn't come on in bulb test mode? It works as it should otherwise.
