I got in my car today and turned it on and the heater blower came on even though it was turned off. I tried hittin the off button and it did nothing. Tried the other buttons and nothing happened either. Shut the car off and restarted and it came right back on. I started drivin' and after less then a minute, it shut off and everything functioned normally. When I got back to the car from the health club, it wouldn't come outta park. I checked the brake light fuse and it was blown. Sure enough, the only fuse I didn't have was a 15amp one so I tried a 10amp which it blew right away. I overode the lockout and drove home where I replaced the brake light fuse and it blew right away. What else could it be? I have the cruise control switch on the bottom side of the brake cylinder unhooked already to this shouldn't be the problem. Any ideas?

a long shot... but....

My friend was having a similar problem but it delt with his whole parking light system... ended up being a wire harness. All of the wire coating/plastic melted and all the bare wires were touching eachother and groudning out. SO I would check the wires from/to the brake switch and look extra close to where the wires get close to metal parts or other wires under the dash....

I say again.. a long shot but it's worth a try
