Seriously? Ugh....I been on board with your build for a long time, but I hate secrets...not sure what your motivation would be here. Kinda annoying really. This is why the platform doesn't progress more than it has, everybody is worried about kingdom building. I've posted a write up of literally every upgrade I've done with detailed pics in the hope's others will take it and improve on it. A lot of us have, @Jordan_R busted open the secret recipe of the Raptor crank, etc.....kinda the reason for this forum...share info. A rising tide lifts all ships...

...but seeing as there are literally no aftermarket parts available I can guess most of what's done. Cryo, WPC, snap ring mod, GH torque convertor....pretty much all that can be done....

...friction plates aren't due til later this year, and there's no LSD available yet, so not much else to be done other than that...

@ Ecoboost_xsport .....

No need to get annoyed. I was asked not to disclose. I'm honoring that request. Simple as that.

And as far as you (& any others) sharing things.... my reputation in this platform, as well as sharing of info, write ups, etc. long precedes you and most other newer owners.

So don't feel obliged to elevate yourself upon a pedestal there my friend.

Finally, there are a multitude of influencing factors that have kept the platform from advancing. Most of which have absolutely nothing to do with individual owners.

That's been prevalent since the 1st GEN SHO's have rolled out. Ask any of those (term used loosely) "older" GEN owners.

Stay safe and keep having fun motoring along. I follow you and others likewise.

This is something a little beyond that. I'm sure he's a nice guy and I respect him for his legacy here, but I can't get with the hush hush on something that we might all be able to help him with or collectively attempt to solve this problem we all suffer from. So no, not going to let up on this one. I like you alot and we've had positive interactions as well so hopefully you don't take it personal.

I've always found everyone here to be quite helpful, yet entertainingly sarcastic to keep it real.
We all enjoy camaraderie as a community here to the singular goal of improving performance.
Well I like to know all the information I can about what I'm working on or I am thinking about. Also I appreciate any input or information anyone cares to share.
But, when it comes to trust. I like to think I can trust someone who can hold information without telling everyone else. If they're going to tell everyone else, can I trust that person. Probably not.
Now if I have someone who's willing to share what they know without violating a trust, I'd have to say that was a trustworthy person. If I was to tell someone my social security number and ask them not to tell anyone else and they turned around and told everyone else. That wouldn't be very trustworthy. Regardless of whether or not other people would find that information helpful.
This might be a little too black and white. But there is a line in there somewhere that shouldn't be crossed.

But you do need to respect that his trans man doesn’t want to give over the transmission information.

There is a lot of space to give information and help the community while still respecting NDA (which I would guess it is more of a verbal do me a favor rather than a formal written NDA). A simple I have a LSD or I have a custom billet part etc. I professionally sign formal NDA with tons of manufacturers for my main job. That does not mean I cannot say that I am testing backup cameras or Lane Departure Systems. That does mean I cannot say company XYZ is building a system using laser tracking, camera integration, etc. You can say a lot without disclosing much.

I’ve said it many times, Mike was my inspiration for joining this cult in the first place.View attachment 18467

Oh dear God. I'm sorry a second time then. LOL. But if it has allowed you to enjoy the ride and all the comradarie you've had since joining, then awesome sauce!

Yea, IDK if I'll make that previously stated HP goal. Even if I did, I just want to enjoy my ride for years to come. Tired of breaking shit. Things have changed now that my mechanic has passed. Current builder has been outstanding in offering to step in, where the mechanic left off, but I don't want to overuse that resource. I'll get some passes in once she's all done, to see what she can do. If it breaks into the 10 barrier (which I'm hopeful it will) then I'd have to cage it, and that's not something I'm looking to do. So maybe I'll just enjoy it, and surprise an occasional fellow enthusiast from time to time at a street light in Mexico somewhere. LOL.

Real life seems to have a way of creeping in, and the hobby is not anywhere near as much of a priority as I may have once made it to be.

And..... I don't do FB or other commonly used social media platforms due to employer imposed restrictions.

Working for multiple companies (including federal government and local public safety) that have media and internet policies, I find it very odd that a place has a policy banning "commonly used social media" yet allows others. There is not much difference between a forum and Instagram or Facebook. Generally policies will do things like ban mentioning you employer, posting political commentary, posting confrontational or divisive topics, stuff like that. In fact I am pretty sure that there are cases that have been fought and won under first amendment rights regarding censorship by employers. I have no idea how or why an employer would care what you post on a personal page about your personal life. A facebook with a generic name like Mike Smith, Mike Jones, Mike Sho, etc. that has no mention of an employer or location and stays on the topic of Ford Taurus/EcoBoost would be of no more concern to an employer than a forum profile that mentions name and location with the same topics. Especially since going by the forums and things you link, you are already easily identifiable, along with your employer and the social media that you do use. In addition it is easy to find co-workers of yours that ARE on Facebook. It does not take much of an internet sleuth to gain a multitude of information on you, your employer or coworkers.

Couple of things here because I can see some references to myself without being directly tagged.

1) I can understand @Ecoboost_xsport skepticism towards @bpd1151's trans. Just the way it's going to be unless we know more. I think it's an okay thing to be skeptical. Honestly, I think it's bs, but whatever, I don't have time to argue it out for no reason anymore.

2) we're all people here and I don't think we need flex on our time in the community and how much we've contributed. Not really about the flex unless I want troll and call @StealBlueSho slow.

3) @Caden I never shunned you but gave you the exact same treatment I give anybody who direct messages my Facebook. Getting 5-10 message requests a day and I've got almost 200 friend requests of people I've never met it's hard to keep up and frankly why I'm only active on SHO Ecoboost Owners page. Even if I did respond I'd say to make a post on the group so others, if they have that same question, can get the answer. Lee even told you I don't respond to private messages. I don't have the time lately to keep up with the new transmission developments and I'm thankful for John for keeping me up to ***** on that. I'm just busy on social media now trying to do my own stuff as is.

4) Two years ago I used to go hard, respond and argue but honestly I don't have time for that so really I'm just here like:
Popcorn watching
We all just gotta sit back and think sometimes it just be like that..

Think we all need to step back and take a breather. If the vendor who rebuilt Mike's transmission wants to remain nameless and doesn't want Mike to disclose anything, then we need to respect the vendor's wishes. Whether we agree with it or not. Could be the vendor doesn't want to deal with our platform and just did this one off for Mike to be nice. Whatever it is, it's none of our dam business period.

Vendor wanting NDA is nothing new in the SHO world, been happening for years.

This thread has been very good for many reasons up until the last page or 2. Let's stop the snarkiness and get back to enjoying what is being done to move the platform forward so we can all keep posting to this thread.

Guys....chill the f**k out.

My logical conclusion........

If I was a vendor/trans builder and I partnered with a high horsepower build on a questionable trans I would ask for secrecy as well. We all know the 6f55 is hit and miss. Mike's stock one lived, mine didn't. Hit and miss.

As the builder I would like to know that my product would be able to produce in a real world application. Once I felt that was criteria was met, then I would go public. I wouldn't want to go public before, then have Mike's new motor completely grenade my product. It protects me and Mike. However, if it holds up and preforms then I have that ace in my pocket tried and true.

Then don't bring it up. Problem solved. Hype and secrecy don't blend well in a forum.

Overall everyone is watching. I honestly hope Mike is very happy with the results upon completion.

It is really hard not too. The first question asked was...what are you doing with the trans? Lol.

Should said exploring options and let it be. I could hype up my ridiculous gains in the stock world and then say all secrets, no tell. But I won't.

I respect everyone here to a point.... But it is a public forum and the public suck.

I bolded your statement. This is why you have seen a major drop off in my attendance lately.
