BOV Problems, Maybe

Not sure what happened, but I have recently lost about 3 psi of boost.

I have noticed a fluttering noise coming from my BOV. This noise only happens when the vacuum is at the point where the BOV is closing/opening. Right at the point where the BOV should be sealing off it makes the fluttering/sputtering noise.

I am using the old style HKS bolt on BOV. I am thinking it may be time to upgrade my BOV.

Theres rebuild kits out there i think. Or its a china knockoff?

The hks unit are extremely hard to find , the genuine ones. Knockoffs are really well made but not internally.

Sounds like that would be a likely suspect.

Hks bov

I believe it to be a genuine HKS. It came will one of the original SHO Shop PowerDyne SC kits.

Anybody know where I could find a rebuild kit. The BOV is old style bolt on with the adjustment bolt straight up thru the top of the unit.
