Ortiz tuned. Had an airaid but switched back to stock with k&n drop in recently. Somehow the aftermarket intake hose popped off a few days ago and I put it back. Bov’s are vta (stock). The problem is that now, when I’m half wot and into boost, the bov’s start spitting air at 3k rpm’s. I can mash the gas more and push past that but I don’t know what the issue is yet.

I would start by just verifying all tubing and wiring for the boost control solenoid are intact. Scan for DTCs. Maybe check wastegate actuator linkage. It sounds like overboost to me, maybe not though

Usually sputtering BOVs is due to the boost solenoid not being connected or there is a large leak between the turbo and the boost solenoid and the pcm is venting boost because it is registering an overboost condition.

my car does that too. Ease into the gas and you can hear the air pushing out. I am also set up vta on stock bov's . I push the gas a bit more and it stops doing it. May not be an issue other than we are doing it like this.

Yes that in itself is normal and is part of the Ecoboost boost management system. Some tuners will increase that threshhold so that it doesn't do it, but honestly it's normal and increasing the threshold puts extra strain on the turbos.

Working on getting in touch with you soon here for some tune options.

Nah. It’s not normal since it just started a few weeks ago but has been tuned for a year. Something else is up
