ok let me explain what was behind this, there are at least 5 other red 2gen's in our area...and it's going in for a complete new RED color some time next year. the pic's really don't do it justice... It's far from ricer more like Rosch mustang. it's not gonna be like that forever...

Yeah good way to be different Tim. I think red is the new green in my city, i see one almost everyday, and only one of them acknowledged me. Yesterday I saw a green gen 2, and I said to myself "YES! Finally." 5 minutes later I saw another red one.

I think if you painted all the way down to the body line it would be alot better.

We had planed on that taking after nc89SHO, who's two tone 1st gen looks great.... But then decided to follow the less noticable body line so the car was less "cut in half." besides that we didn't want to copy nc's car completely. I was afraid at first when the guys didn't go to the body line but now I really think the striking line between the black and red makes the body line less noticable.

It's something you have to see in person. It really does look good at that line... I really like the way it sets off the red...

Are you going to primer the rest of the car and repaint it??
nah...like my wife said, next year after getting things under the hood taken care of, it's going into the paint booth for about a week or so and coming out hopefully resembling the color of fresh blood (I'm sick, I know, I don't care). It's temporary and allows my car to stand out from the rest of the friggin red SHOs in this town...all 6 or 7 of em.

OOOooooo... AAAaaaahhh... I like it alot, nice and original, the only thing I would do different is ditch the bra and leave the bumper red (just my opinion). I would leave it like that and take the money saved from the paint job and make it turn harder/go faster, that'll set you apart from those other SHOs. Can you maybe put up links to some hi-res pics?

the only purpose the Bro (man bra) is serving is covering up the blemishes the front bumper is sporting... were gonna keep the hood bro off but with all the scratches it really needs to stay. As for the go fast goodies..... I think were just gonna go for that in about a year were refi-ing the house this year so I think were gonna have to wait for about a year to beable to get the kinda cash Tim wants to do everything ( dont ask me what everything is he changes his mind at least 3 times a day!) But thanks for the positive feedback and the ideas....

Eh, like my wife said, the front bumper looks like someone followed a gravel truck for several hundred miles....the only reason I got the bra in the first place. I've gotta wet sand it and put a few more coats on it, but I got a friend of mine who does his own paint that's gonna put a couple of coats of clear over top of it once I get it good and prepped...then it'll be HAWT!!!! And then, as Mandy said, next year, it'll be going quite fast, turning rather hard and stopping good enough to pull an eyeball out...let's just say that Doug Lewis is gettin a healthy chunk of cash from me.....

And sorry...but that's as high-res as they get. We got a low budget digital camera and only rudimentary editing skills.

Wow....so you two are painting your cars in a different shade of red and green because there are other sho's with the same color in your area? WTF? So what should i do with the two white 95 MTXs in my driveway then?

Erm, actually, she's painting her car cuz Toreador Red is not only on SHOs, but also on regular Taurus', wagons and minivans. We both feel that SHOs, being special, should stand out a bit. So she's going with her paint scheme, and I'm planning on going a "fresh-blood-red" color....but for now, this is the best I could do. Is it so wrong to want to be different?
