Bogging Problem

My car has a bogging problem and wants to stall sometimes or doesnt but wants to. I got my codes read today and I got like 7 or 8 then more added on forget exacltly how many. All the codes that came up have to do with my emissions. I have change out the EGR Valve but not getting any the vacumm effect from the solenoid. While the car was idling I popped the MAF sensor off and on nothing happened. Thats pretty much all I did. My gas mileage is horrible. Anybody know what it is or can help me. Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated... thumb

How about giving us the list of codes you got? That might help point to a cause. Also check the cats for blockage, you can search the forum for the keyword "broom" to learn how.

You don't mention mileage or maint. history. Is all the maint. up-to-date?

It is hard to tell without knowing the codes but bad gas milage and wanting to stall makes me think of the fuel pump/filter. How old is yours? Post your codes with the response.

Well I am the 2nd owner of the car. Im at 195,000 It has been well maintained I have every reciept for what has been done and who done it from day one but I'll get the codes and post them. Thanks again. Ill also take a look at when the last time the fuel filter was changed and get back to you. I am due for plugs and wires. wink

oil in the plug wells can cause a stall...pretty easy to pull the boots and look. wink

Replace the fuel pressure regulator, then replace the fuel filter, then if they dont work, re-evaluate your situation.
