When I Rev my 3.2 ATX by hand it revs up to about 4,000 rpm and then bogs down like a limiter or something. Is this normal? I did have a plugged fuel filter and changed it. Still the same. Will carbon in my EGR passage way cause this? Is this normal? I have 32 psi of fuel pressure after changing the fuel filter. I have new Bosch Platinum Fusion plugs and a new MASS, O2, EGR and 3 new EGR sensors and EGR valve. The only code is an intermittent 332 Lack of EGR flow. An Ex Ford Tech I worked with said it was the fuel filter or carbon in the intake. Do I need to pull the Intake manifold to remove the throttle body and any carbon in the EGR passage ways? It is a 1993 3.2 ATX with 117,000 miles. Looks to be in mint condition. I even changed the PCM with another HZ-2 PCM. Next step is looking for carbon. It runs and idles smooth but still flashes a code 332 on and off occasionally. I have a EZ Scan 1000 engine scanner with live data. I can't see anything out of place. It fails the Engine running test with code 332.

Thanks.

Thank you SHO much...LOL

Now for my code 332 problem. Thinking about removing my manifold now or can I clean the passageways without taking off the manifold?

It can be done, but taking the manifold off is easy, and you need to learn how to do it.. In the dark, in the rain, by feel.. LOL
This is the time to change the rear 3 plugs, and check your plug boots..
Two of mine had vertical cracks.
Coil cleaner, or oven cleaner will clean your intake nicely..
Just be careful, coil cleaner can BLIND you.. FYI
When I did my ATX, I removed the intake to clean the EGR..
Also, a LPM will remove the nuetral rev limiter, and firm up the shifts nicely..

I did it and the 2 EGR holes behind the throttle body were plugged solid with carbon. I drove it 100 miles tonight and the check engine light never came on. You guys are the greatest. Thanks. SHO's forever and forever SHO's. LOL

Sorry bout the duplicate posts. I put it under performance by mistake.

well... your SHO performs much better now, no? I don't see a problem here.

Glad to see you got the EGR taken care of, it has confounded many a people. :thumb:
