bogging down, power loss?

hey all! im a newbie to the forum here where i found is a must for sho owners. just bought my first sho, its a 1995 auto 3.2 120k. i do have a abs light on (but i can see it needs brakes badly) but no other light is on the dash. when driving the car it seems i can creep up to 60+mph but if i go wot at anytime it seems the car just bogs like ive got the brake held somewhat. it idols pretty decent with a slight miss that i can hear better standing behind the car.i ran a diagnostic on the car and it said cylinder 6, and something like abs sensor in one of the rear wheels. also when the car shifts (about 70%)of the time from 1st to 2nd i get a very hard shift(not good) but at wot shifts it seems to shift fine? can anyone help get this sho to go!

You need to see what code that was for #6 It could be a miss fire on that bank thats happening.

Also you may just have a bad rear abs sensor.

Your bogging down at a higher speed possibly sounds like your not getting enough fuel pressure. It is possible that your fuel pump is worn out.

I'd recommend cleaning your MAF sensor. Mine had similar problems to yours, and cleaning the MAF sensor transformed the car. You need to remove a couple of torx screws to get at it. Use brake cleaner to clean it (leaves no residue), and a very soft brush. It probably won't be your only issue, but it'll definitely help.

I wouldn't use brake cleaner on the MAF it's not made for a sensitive part like that , CRC makes a Mass Air Sensor Cleaner which is sensor safe and made for the part

when i ran the codes all it came up with was a cyl 6 and abs rh rear speed sensor. could it be a egr malfunction? do i really have to pull intake to change plugs and wires? also what does the rear sensor do?and where can i find it? would the crappy running cause the tranny to shift hard or u think its just signs of bad to come

Pull the #6 wire and see if there's oil in the spark plug well.

Is there a code reader made for our cars? Or is it just easyer to do it this way? (sorry, Im a newbie with SHO's)

Just click on the Learn to pull codes here from Ken's post it is very easy to do!! Also just pull the MAF connector and try driving with it unplugged and see if that makes a difference it is harmless and can rule out the MAF. Ask me how I know!!

dude i cant believe it, i pulled the plug wires in the front and one was broken into! so do i have to pull the intake to change the plugs/wires or is it possible to squeeze in there? would the engine running off 5 cyl cause the tranny to act up from 1st to 2nd?
