Whats up SHOform gang!

Hope I dont have to get jumped in to join up. :whip:

Gearhead to the bone, ford my whole life, and my third taurus (first SHO).

Vehicle choice was a Police Interceptor Sedan w/3.5 Ecoboost. After lots of research I decided on this version due to it's performance package components standard and extra cooling capacity, plus beefier alternator. The added bulletproof-ness plus added structural framing was a bonus. Also coming with no silly noise tube standard, and engine cover already removed was a plus.

Wanted a stripped down SHO that came with all the things I would normally upgrade out of the gate and I think I found it.

Only one month in, just picked up august. Two oil changes short interval, PTU Fluid was changed but looked good. Trans fluid changed, was clean. So far I installed JLT catch can, msd coil packs with ruthenium plugs (loving the **** outta em), new struts (mounts too), shocks, HR springs, cryo-forged slotted rotors with brembo brake pads. JMS Boostmax/pedalmax.

Car responds well to upgrades like my mustangs. Anything I should do right out the gate that I missed?

Ordering upgraded (non china) turbo cores, planning on rebuilding in october and installing intercooler (if they get in stock ever)

Are the oil pump gears on these prone to grenading like on all my mustangs?

What year Mustang did you have OPG problems with? I’ve got 149K on my 2011 Brembo package with the factory gears still.

The water pump in the transverse 3.5 Ecoboost are what are problematic.

Nice ride. The OPG on our cars are good to go. A tune will completely change the car. I would recommend a Gearhead Auto Octane tune personally.

the OPGs are notorious for grenading with boost on any Coyote.

Welcome! Agree that's a nice green. Look forward to hearing about your build progress, and seeing more pics of your ride.
