There were 14 SHOs, 5 T-birds, 2 Probes, I gen 4 Taurus, 1 Audi, 1 Mustang Corbra, that met at the Oasis parking lot. 9 SHOs, 3 T-birds, 2 Probes continued on. Needless to say after lunch we managed to find some more twistys to run thanks to Mr. Perfetti out of Johnson City unfortunately 10 miles or so turned in to a bluebonnet tour, which took us about an hour or more to travel due to all the wan-a-bees bikers that were in the way going 2 miles an hour.
Then about 10 miles or so miles from Johnson City blue92 deposited it's idler pully and alternator belt onto the highway. For those that don't know DO not break down in Johnson City cause there isn't any auto parts stores there. Anyway thanks to all the great friends I've made in the lsshoc we managed to get blue92 back to the hotel where Mr. Dale preformed some by-pass surgery. With a measurement from his boot lace we went to AZ and he found a belt to preform the by-pass surgery with that got me back to Arlington Sunday.
Then the folks that stayed over till Sunday went down to 6th St. and enjoyed the scenes of 6th St. untill it was time to roll up the sidewalks.
So to recap it was a strange day Saturday but in the most part a very enjoyable weekend in Austin for most.
Oh yea the hotel I found for us rocked. A double for $42. a night plus tax. The rooms had full kitchens, and a nice courtyard that even had a bar-b-que pit. Next year we will have to plan a bar-b-que maybe Friday night.
