I have a 2010 SHO with a gremlin in it. Fist time I had this problem it was about a year ago. After idling awhile ift started for put out a lot of blueish smoke. By the time I drove it home it had quit. It started to do it again. I am going through quit abit of oil.I am using some water also. the strange thing is it does not do this all the time. May go two weeks with out smoking. Once or twice it has pinged like when your timing was way off. Some times it is way under power then runs great. My only thought is a head gasket. Or maybe something to do with the PVC system. But I am an old retied firefight not a mechanic. I sure could use some help. Thanks in advance
Keith

I had this happen a couple times while I had a CC installed, I've since unhooked it and have never had a problem since.

Thanks what CC did you use?

I have a universal one, worked fine up until recently, internals all look good nothing broken or missing. My guess was when the car was shut off some of the oil vapors moved through the hoses and eventually cooled off into small droplets. It only smoked for maybe 20-30 secs then it went away, it was only on cold start.

The theory of a CC is good but on our engines it dosnt seem to like them. I've had nothing but issues also. Just run crc through it at every oil change

In my experience, a little blue smoke at start up, or say when your sitting in line for a while at a fast food joint and pull out, is typically valve guide seals. No particular experience with our 3.5l, but at 10 years old.....

I do not know what crc is. I have been running BG additive at each oil change. I did a search on crc did not find anything having to do with an oil change. Thanks Keith
