Im just curious to maybe ,since i see two plugs coming out, if one plug might be for passanger airbag, and another for driver??...ive searched, but havent found any specific answers to this. i just need to make my light stop ILLUMINATING b/c of my pass Airbag System FAULT. (i think they're black, and white)...thanks!!

I believe fixing it will make the light go out. what code do you have?

lol well ya i figured that. its something like 33... i looked it up about a month ago...it meant something along the lines of... Pass high resistance or something

is it that blue airbag module thats making your system screw up? I have one thats known good form my 94 im pretty sure I still have it, ill send it to ya for 20 bucks shipped if you want. Pm me if you're interested:cool:

no lol i know the pass airbag had been deployed in the past (slight diff color in cover in car now) ...im just not sure it each for represtents a side it controls or something.... but thanks for the generous offer !

well im not 100% but what id say is when the signal is sent to deploy both bags go off no matter what, and if the connectors are the same odds are it doesnt matter where you plug each side in.

both bags..?? is this true??...the car had damage on pass side only...but if thats what your saying....then im gonna be alittle mad, cause i think airbags are state law here or some crap like that

The connectors do not correspond to left/right side. Doesn't work that way. Each plug MUST be plugged into the proper connector.

If the RCM deploys the airbags, both sides deploy. The Gen II Taurus' system does not discriminate.

Start over with the Lamp Fault Code (LFC) for diagnostic assistance.

I doubt that any state, even Mass., mandates the presence of airbags although I wouldn't be totally surprised...

you need special permission to have no airbags if the car was equipped with them, also you can get you **** sued off if you get in an accident with a passenger and there are no bags in a car that was "equipped" with them. I did this research because I wanted to remove my bags, at least this was the law when i looked it up.:cool:
