I was on the freeway, regular driving, and went to put it into fourth gear and BOOM! The car ****** hard. I put it in neutral and looked back and smoke was pouring outta the back and from the sides of the hood. I barely made it home, clutch was slipping and tranny was knocking pretty hard. Put it on the jack and the whole bottom of the car is drenched with oil. Anybody kno if I blew a gasket, seal, or the tranny? Thanks.

Same here. Look for the hole in the tranny around where the axles go into the transmission.

If you are in SoCal, I would check Ecology Auto in Fontana. MTX trannys are $83 plus core there. We found one with a Quaife and still only paid $83!
