Ok, where do I begin.........This weekend I installed an aftermarket headunit into my 93. Soldered and heat shrinked the wires, the way it's supposed to be done. But this morning driving to school, I had no clock or dashlights. So when I got home, I discovered i had fuse number 6 and number 13 blown. Where do I start? ( Fuse 6 is for "lights for the: clock, ECC, and radio. Fuse 13 is for "lights for the: ashtray, cluster, gearshift indicator, ECC, radio, and switch for rear defroster.) Usually this really wouldnt be a problem because we have a family beater I would drive to work later, but it's in the shop. And the drive to work is a long and dark one, at that. Thanks in advanced!

There is a wire with blue/red stripe on a single connector for the lights behind the radio. Did you pinch it when you put your radio in? Also, some aftermarket head units can't use this wire or you wired it into the wrong position.

Well, I just removed the radio and put new fuses in and all the lights work. I'm think that I soldered one of the wires to a wrong wire. On the harness adapter there are 3 orange wires. (all of them are for "illumination/Dimmer") The harness for the am radio only had an orange and white wire so I soldered the two together. But when I look at the factory harness it only has an orange and black one. Worth resoldering them and trying again?

Nope that wire has just chilln' out in the back. And the factory harness adapter had no spot for that. But the aftermarket radio did light up. Just none of the other dashboard lights.
