I have a few issues that all have occured the same time, so I believe they are related.

The heater makes crazy clicking noises. The blower blows low to high, high to low like it is possessed...and even blows like this when climate control is off! At idle, the car seems like it is not getting enough gas and I almost think the car is going to stall. There is also this weird problem..when I am accelerating normally the car will suddenly get a boost in power. The lights also dim like something is wrong with the charging system. The heater blows more erratically when I use the wipers and the blinker as well..These problems all appeared at the same time!!!!!

My mechanic just told me that the charging system is perfect. He said he will look into my dash further to investigate these issues. He is replacing my rear control arm this coming monday so I'll have him look into these. I wanted to give him some information to possibly make it easier for him, or if i can replace the blower motor resistor MYSELF that would be great!

WHO CAN DIAGNOSE MY CAR? :)

Thanks fellow sho lovers!!!

You can change the blower motor resistor yourself. They usually fail by only having the high speed of the fan working, it sounds like yours may still be functioning.
The blend door actuator is usually the thing that makes the clicking sound in the dash. They are hard to change and you have to lift the dash out and up a little to get at the thing (top of the heater plenum).
The climate control unit on your dash has a lot of vacuum hoses associated with it. Pull your unit out and have a look at all the vacuum connections.... you may have a vacuum leak back there that is causing some of your problems. Maybe even your engine surging is caused by a vacuum leak.
Look for a ground wire that is unhooked or loose. That may be your head-light dimming, heater motor surging, and the wipers and blinkers affecting your heater.

Is there a thread on how to replace the blower motor resister. I have the same issue, and my radio stopped working.

so my mechanic checked the resistor and it checks out. He says the blower is surging from low to high and thinks i have a bad control unit. I may buy a hard button unit. any thoughts?

You don't have a blower motor resistor then. There is a PWM blower controller that controls the fan speed. It sounds to me like your evaporator drain is clogged and the motor controller is getting wet. The motor controller is on the underside of the blower housing (behind the glove box). You will need to remove the trim cover that is on the underside of the dash to get to it. It has a 4 wire plug and a large corrugated hose running to it and looking through the glove box opening it is toward the left side.

Strange things happen when voltage drops or is inconsistant.
Check the charging system.
This happened to me once and a loose battery connection was the fault.

I have had issues before with these stupid power and ground cables going to the battery where the car didn't start because of a bad connection. I had the ground cable replaced maybe my power cable should get replaced now..

Weird thing is my mechanic tld me he checked my charging system and everything is fine..

my heat now seems to be stuck on high even when turned off. When I press the lock button and hold it for 2 seconds and let it go..my blower goes off for a second and turns back on..also my lights flash on the interior and exterior. I'm thinking it's more and more some kind of crazy electrical issue..
