So the Check Charging System light came on on Saturday. As I’m searching for info on site, I keep seeing ‘BLM’ &/or ‘reset BLM’
What is BLM?
Also - at dealership & the serpentine belt is missing. Happy Monday!

Battery life monitor. It's garbage. If it's at the dealership, they can reset it. You can do it in Forscan, too.

It's really BMS (Battery Management System). It basically manages the charging system and limits charging to help fuel economy in certain situations.

No serpentine belt = alternator not spinning = no charging

Thanks for the info. My car knowledge is far behind as I thought the car wouldn’t run w/o serpentine belt. Luckily it’s covered under original warranty that expires in August.
They also found the wires to oxygen sensor have been chewed on so that’s getting replaced. The critters have never messed with my cars before. The truck & tractor is a different story.
Thanks again.

Something to think about. If you do, get the Ford extended from an online discount seller. Usually a big difference in $

Let me correct my answer.
I did buy the extended warranty. After my last warranty disaster, when I bought this certified ‘16 the dealership set me up beautifully!! If the original warranty was expired, I would have had to pay for new belt.
They did assure me that my warranty will not cover animals chewing on parts LOL
