Blendmount alternative for SHO...

I know there's another thread on here about placement of radar detectors, that's where I came across Blendmounts in the first place.

Ordered mine a few days ago, and I must say their support staff are very thorough. They even had me take a picture of my rear view mirror to confirm their fear that they have no mount for our mirror - the stalk has to be 2 inches long, and mine is less than an inch.

That being said, anyone find an alternative mount? I loved how clean the Blendmount was, and am hoping there's another rearview mirror mount that someone has discovered for ****** detectors...

That's the one that I have installed in my car. It works great and it holds the detector tight. So there are no rattles coming from that.

Their response to me yesterday was:

Bummer, it's not gonna work, R&D is struglin with a design for this mirror, problem being the radar detector would hang too low under the mirror (an inch or two), no way to get it up tight to the bottom of the mirror because of that plastic shell behind the mirror.

You have the stumpy stalk, too, and it looks fine? Hmmmmmmm...

I have a 2010 SHO, the mirror might be different.

I mounted my blendmount that I had in my jeep srt8, and it fit perfectly in my 2010 SHO. thankfully they're the same size.

Don't they have one now to fit the stubby mirror? I'm trying to get my hands on one soon.
