Yes I did a search first but didnt find the answer I needed.

So...I just did a brake upgrade on a gen 1 and ran into a problem. With all the brakes bled and no air in the system the pedal pressure in manual mode operates as normal. Start the engine and press the pedal it goes to the floor and sticks. Ive never had to bleed the ABS before but I think its either that or a bad master cylinder. But why would it work in one mode and not the other ??

Thoughts ? Suggestions ?

TIA.

try making a hard stop and purging the air through the ABS pump.

from what a buddy's snapon scanner said about bleeding the ABS system. put the rear wheels up in the air, open the respective bleeder and have someone hold the brake down while the engine is running. Supposedly that will cycle the pump and make it start to purge the system.

There are ABS bleeders out there, cose about $100.
