Wouldn't you know it. I broke one of my Blazers about a month and a half ago and have been searching eBay ever since with no luck. I finally broke down and bought a set of Pilot lights that look like they will fit. Just got them in the mail an hour ago and I paid almost twice the Blazers price. Maybe I should buy these just in case...

They are really bright and fit the stock openings perfectly. you will have to grind a bit to the mounting brackets, but it will be worth it. 30 minutes with a dremel and you are there.

Heehee... I still got mine. So far mine are fine. Knock on wood. Now watch, I post this and tonight I go out and break one. My luck I guess!

Hey guys,
I am bidding on a set of the blazers. I would appreciate it if none of you guys outbid me on them, seeing that there are 6 other sets for sale. My ebay name is Cchicago. I would really appreciate it and i need the foglights badly.
Thanks,
joe

1992blackmtx has a good question. What is needed to install these Bad Boy Blazers? Jeremy, you said that the brackets need to ground down a bit, if i dont have access to a dremel, what else could i do? What about the wiring? is it going to be a difficult task to complete?
Thanks,
joe

I bought the "standard" blazers which are the same style and bulb as the OE. Here is what I did:

Take 1" wide 1/8" thick metal strip and bend to the same width as the included mount but make it (if I recall correctly) 4" deep. Now cut out the center 1" so that you will have two L-shaped pieces. Remove the stock plastic bracket from the car. You will see a hole that the stock harness goes through. You will want to drill a hole on either side of that center hole and a corresponding hole on each side of the back of the new bracket you made to mount them.

It's sort of complicated to explaine but you're basically adding about 1.5" to the stock bracket in order to mount the light with the bracket horizontal instead of vertically.

I don't know how these other blazers are as far as the length of the housing itself but they look identical to mine that I bought.

Just get a drill with a grinder...that is what I did. The reason you do that is to change the mounting angle so they aren't up in peoples eyes when you drive. SDPATT and I did it last year. I was under the car quite a while grinding on those things, but it was worth it....

The only part I used from the kit is the wiring to the lights themselves. I just spliced it into the stock fog lamp wiring. Real easy install. Make sure that you angle them down. They WILL be in other driver's faces if you don't. It doesn't matter which wire is which when you splice them since the bulbs don't recognize polarity. Just cut the wiring right below the "plug" that is 6 inches or so up away from the fog lamp, and splice in the new wires to the new bulbs there. Plug in and enjoy. Good luck..
