Blacken/Darken Trim on SHO

Is there any more permanent darkening/blackening the trim on a SHO this winter did a number on mine and faded it even though I kept my car washed and it now looks like shit. Is there a way to paint the trim so it looks good or and I pretty much screwed? Should I try the back to black stuff by meguiars even though I heard it comes off after a week or two or after it rains...

I tried the Shine Supply Trim Paint on my Raptor plastics. On the porous surfaces of the bed rails and bumper caps, it did quite well. Held up in direct sunlight for several months and just now finally applied a dressing over it for the first time which brightened it up.
However, on the smooth plastic of the front grille, it immediately flaked/rubbed off and I could not get it to stick.

For the SHO, I stopped applying g dressing to the plastic for over a year, as I had plans to get them painted. When it was in the bodyshop, the shop gave me a choice of smoothing out the plastics prior to, but I told them leave them porous as even if they smoothed them they would still appear different in sunlight as the metal body panels. So they degreased, primed and painted with factory finish. And now I don’t ever have to worry about applying dressing on these plastics on the bottom again.

Hey man...my SHO is Tuxedo black too and I like your idea but not sure of how it would look.....if you have the time maybe you can post more pics of different angles that show the entire car?

I shot mine with a plastic adhesion promoter and SEM trim black. Best thing I've ever done to the exterior of the car. Clean all the parts well, then clean them again with lacquer thinner or a similar product before applying. I masked off the rear bumper extension and removed the rocker/door moldings.easy weekend project.
Edit-better picture...after being driven in the rain yesterday as is.

I use Stoner Trim Shine. It's pretty easy to use and I like the results.

I've found repainting them with trim paint is the only surefire way. Once they dry out, they'll never retain the factory look. I just get in the habit of hitting them with no sling tire dressing during my weekly wash and it cleans it up until I wash it again.
