What’s up with this SHO? I’ve never seen anything on the forums about this one, nor can I find much information on it. Anyone know anything?

I call that SHO "The Unicorn". It was built, not much is known about it, and it was for sale a while back. I have actually seen it in person because it is local to me, but never on the street.

It's one of those SHOs that makes crazy high horsepower, ran at the track once severely detuned, and then got sold and resold many times without much change.

Made over 600AWHP on built motor then ran at the strip I think like a hundredth slower than Mike's car on lower tune. Ran ATP turbos, custom intercooler, aux fuel running full e85. Still has the highest HP for stock block pretty sure at like 588awhp

I called them back when I was trying to figure out my intercooler situation to see if I could buy a bumper reinforcement like that. They told me it was a one off but if I wanted the bar the whole car was for sale. Which obviously didn't help me at all lol. So about 6ish months ago is was still for sale according to the rep i talked to there.

I live local to them and had my Gearhead tune, spark plugs, MAP sensor and T stat installed there.

They work on all kinds of cars. Mustang GT’s, **** they were even doing a 1982 Trans Am KITT conversion there as well.

They were ok to deal with. They lost my key somewhere but gave me some $$ off the install cost.

Hahaha well - now I know someone else at least semi-locally knows what they are doing with these cars lol

You don’t happen to know how to drain / refill the PTU by chance ? I’d like to keep up with that every year or so, just so it doesn’t fry out like it did about this time last year

Smart move.

There's quite a few posts and videos up on it on this forum and a few on YouTube as well.

Look up forum member Iconic. He has a good, informative, slower paced vid.

Ptu drain and fill is way easier than you would think. It seems kinda intimidating, especially since its a somewhat finicky part of the drive train, but once you get to it its not bad.

That bar is so basic it sips pumpkin lattes while wearing leggings and uggs. I could replicate that fairly quickly if you want.

Oh I don't need it anymore at this point, was just trying to find a simple solution to the fmic problem before I was able to figure something out. I ended up going a different direction after I thought more about the safety aspect. Thanks though!
