For reducing glare and sharpening contrast try Yellow glasses. I use these because I do wear glasses https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DRCO83I/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 But yellow lensed sunglasses would work as well.

I just wish the HIR2 bulbs were as bright as the original HIR bulbs.

I have prescription sunglasses and my eye dr convinced me to switch from grey tint to brown and it's a noticeable difference. Not for nighttime driving but I can tell during the day.

Ok thoughts on this I have been doing some research the bulbs 9011 at the parts store changed this so order online would be the best way of getting the correct 9011 with the tabs. http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-exterior/227770-sunday-mod-diy-hir-9011-9005-bulb-conversion.html
