sorry dont know the exact place to put this, its kinda maintenance, but kinda 'performance' too... its wiperblade-replacing time again, whats the best blade out there, Bosch Micro Edge Excel? i think i'll start using RainX as well, but i need good wiper blades. preferrably something that can handle rain sleet and snow, and still not streak. thanks :thumb:

The Valeo Ultimate Wiper Blades look interesting, nice for freeway driving in the rain. My drivers wiper catches alot of wind at speed and acts as if it wants to fly off and to the side when it gets about half way up the glass. The Valeo blades have alot less wind resistance and would nearly eliminate it. TireRack has them here.
AutoZone also stocks similar blades that are a little less expensive.

what wipers are you using that catch a lot of wind? i currently have some sort of bosch on the car, they were slightly broken since i first got it, and now the blade is splitting, so i don't know how good they were new

I've got Bosch blades on the car and my truck and have zero problems with them. They don't squeak or streak.

I Have Anco AeroVantage Blades, they are the "more expensive" cheap blade.
They have an all metal frame. I wont ever buy another metal/plastic framed wiper again, at least not one that uses the traditional hinged design.
The Federal Mogul/Anco site says "Aerodynamic design maintains wipe at highway speed." but I find that to be untrue, OR...
I could have an issue with my drivers side wiper arm, shaft splines, motor, or linkage. Who knows. But the wind really slaps it over, off the glass at higher speeds on the way up.

I'm using Motomaster Reflex blades. Similar to the Valeos.

They work awesome, no streaks, no chattering, no lift at well over legal highway speel. I've had them for over 6 months and they still work like new.

I have the Bosch Micro Edge on my car for the summer, and motomaster winter blades for the....winter. I use rain x, and both blades perform well. The winter blades don't like high speeds though....

Just picked up a set of the Bosch Micro Edge Excel blades today. We'll see how they do, although they can't be any worse than the rotted rubber that was on the car.

The standard bosch micro edge are good. But they recently came out with the bosch Icons. Similar to the valeo...they are not too cheap, but well worth it, about $20 a piece. I work at advance auto and have heard nothing but good comments about them.

I use whatever Anco blades I can find. I've never really been one for trying to find the ultimate wiper blade.

i ended upgetting the bosch micro edge excel blades... because they were mislabeled as 8 bucks in one place and regular price in another. i pointed this out to them (the proce had been misdone, on the label with the name, its not just a stocking problem) and was given the lower price due to thier error. they then called someone over to fix it haha.

I buy whatever the parts store has.

I have been using Rain-x for 20 years and the only time I have ever had to turn my wipers on was in a fine mist of a rain when I was going 5 mph
