From an electronics / ODBII port perspective, what do you guys think are the best 0-60 calculators out there?

I'm running REV on my iPhone connected to a kiwi wifi ODBII device and best 0-60 I get in my Tuned EB Flex is 5.37 secs. I am expecting better than that based on what I have read.

Will logging on my SCT device allow me to calculate it manually based on time and speed from the logs?

I don't know, but I can tell you that with my iphone, its accuracy depends a lot on the way it is mounted. If ever it is not perfectly parallel to the front of the car, it won't be accurate. Also, make sure that your phone is well calibrated before mounting it. I am using (not anymore, but I still have the application on my iphone) dynolicious. It was a bit slower in the 0-60 by about 0.2 seconds, but at the end of the 1/4 mile, the time was still off about one tenth, but the trap speed was about 2 mph faster... Still gives a good idea.
The best way I found to estimate our 0-60, since our car is AWD and it doesn't shift at 60, is from time slips. There is a thread I created in the At the drag section. You take your 60 ft time, 330 time and 1/8 mile and you validate your speed at the 1/8 mile and that has been the most accurate so far, within .05 seconds.
Cheers!

My Dashhawk seems to be pretty good. I was getting 5.03 and then did the calculation via time slip and it was 5.07. Since it is ODB it's going to depend on how accurate your speedometer is... so if you have different size tires that throw off the speedometer it will throw off the 0-60.

There was a spreadsheet calculator on a corvette forum somewhere that took your time slips from drag strips and very accurately calculated (using calculus) your 0-60 times. I entered a time slip that nearly mirrored Motor Trend's results for my car, and the extrapolated 0-60 times also mirrored MT's results.

I'll try to see if I can find it, but if you don't have any time slips from a drag strip, obviously this tool is going to be useless to you.

Honestly, Mr. I-have-a-CTS-V (jealous!) is right, a passenger with a stopwatch is going to be the closest thing you have to accuracy.

Edit: This is the gen4 section, which means you can use various OBD-2 instruments that are pretty accurate. As mentioned earlier, the Dashhawk is a very popular one.

Edit: googling "0-60 time slip calculator" got it as the first result. Damn, I'm good at this.

Go in the thread 0-60 from time slip in At the drag section... I put the link you are referring to.

I would think the passenger with a stop watch wouldn't be all that accurate..

1) Found that analog speedo can vary from the digital output from car's ECU

2) You have the issue of reaction times with the driver and passenger
