Bent front strut rod?

Earlier this week, I hit something on the highway (it looked like a 4X4 about 2 feet long). I ended up bending the front passenger inside wheel lip. After getting the rim fixed and while putting it back on last night, I tried looking to see if anything else was damaged. The only thing I noticed is the strut rod has a slight bend 2 inches from where it attaches to the control arm. Is this normal? I can't remember and I'm too lazy to remove the driver side tire to compare. I took a couple of pictures, but I don't know how to post them. I can e-mail them to someone to post.

The rod is supposed to tbe bent.
