I would like to know whether the Bendix brand Brake pads produce a lot of black dust to the point where the rims will be covered with black brake dust over time.

A bendix dealer has brake pads that will fit my 95 SHO, but I'd like to know any input from SHO owners first regarding Bendix.

The Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads, part number 6014, are only $30.99 from AutoZone for your car and come with a lifetime reaplcement warranty. You will be very pleased with the braking power and fade resistence of these very reasonably priced pads. They make a little dust, but all working brakes do.

SDPATT,

Thanks for the timely input to my question. I will take your advise on the PFCM brake pads. Looks like AUTOZONE bound.

I second the PFCM pads. I had them on my car before and loved them. Now I have the Bendix and hate them. They are unbelievably dirty. I wish I could get some PFCM pads for the 96 upgrade.

the bendix titanium metallic pads are good pads... i have them on the rear of my sho.... they stop well, as i have used them on a couple of other cars... however... i use the o'reilly copper metallic pads on my sho now (front) and i love them..... PFCM makes an excellent pad as well

Another pad worth mentioning is the Hawk HPS street. It's the same pad compound as the Carbotech F pads but without the lovely painstaking cryogenic process that Larry puts them through. About half the price of the beloved carbotechs at $49 from tirerack.com.
