i need to know how to loosen the Belt Tensioner
on my 97 sho i replace the alternator and i have every thing ready
to go but i cant figer out how to adjust the Belt Tensioner
help me please

I'm sorry can you ex plane it to me a little better
i put a 3/4 extension on what and turn what counter clockwise

The tensioner has a square hole that you stick the extension into.

To put the 2 posts together quickfix through the passenger side wheel well you can use a long extension and turn the tensioner that way to install the belt. It can be done without the long extension as well inside the engine compartment.

Or if the square hole is busted off like mine was then you take a floor jack, a 2x4 cut to fit, push up the tensioner, be really really careful, and pray. :nut:
