Ok I know this sounds odd, but when it's a hot day outside my driver's side seat belt won't pull out! Drives me nuts. It works in the morning when it's cool but when I get in the car after work no dice. Has anyone experienced this?

I’m sorry that must suck bro but no I haven’t heard of this, most seatbelts are like air compressor hose reels rather than anything electrical so definitely weird heats effects it. Have you taken off the plastic that covers it to see what is going on behind there or did you not see anything out of the norm?

@Cheesehead only thought I have and it’s far out but when it’s hot something behind cover is expanding or becoming soft and not allowing it to spin. Has to be plastic too it wouldn’t get hot enough to effect metal pieces IMO. Please let us know what ford says

Went to my local Ford dealer and they were clueless, said they have never heard of that problem. But they also said previously that they don't swap PTU fluid lol so there is that...Good thing it's winter in 3 weeks where I live

Update! Though this usually never works, I violently pulled on the seat belt in a fit of rage and ****** it a few times, cursed, and what do you know it fixed it lol. Still happens when it's hot out, but a swift tug seems to reset the mechanism and allows it to work again.

There are few things in life that a swift tug won’t fix.
