Timing/Accessory Belt Question

I just had my timing and both accessory belts installed and can defiinitely feel the difference. Acceration is SO much smoother than before and I cant wait to see how it will improve my gas mileage. Anyway, my question is I noticed the steering whining more than usual during turns, it's not the loud "you need to fix you steering wheel" sound but it was never that noticeable, it's not an annoying sound, just noticeable...Any comments?
Thanx,
~Brian~

I'd be inclined to agree. Puting too much tension on the belt can cause bearings to whine (especially when stressed (read turning)). It will also decrease the life of your accesories.

You can decrease the tension with a socket to losen the tensioner pully and a hex to adjust the tension.

I've found that you need to remove the engine dampner bracket off the engine in order to tighten or loosen the 5mm hex head to adjust the belt tension. I've tried getting in there with a swivel head and socket with long extensions but I just couldn't get it to turn without starting to strip it.

A dedicated, 18" long, T-handled 5-mm Allen wrech allows adjusting the front or rear tensioner after loosening only the pulley's 14mm nut. A minimal investment in such a tool will be appreciated every time you need to adjust the tension or remove the accessory belts on the 3.0L SHO.

I had the dealership I got the car from install the aforementioned items. I can't believe they overtightened it  . They've been great in the past at service, even adjusted my steering pulley when it WAS making that unbearable noise during turns. Maybe I should give it a couple days and see if it changes or gets better
